I blinked and Ari turned 1. Birthday parties are my favorite and we’re so excited to celebrate the first year of Ariel’s life The theme was a combination of jungle, forest, woodland & where the wild things are lol. I wanted all the animals and greens.
This was the gift table! I completely forgot to make Ari’s party a no gift party but that’s okay, he was showered in such generous and thoughtful gifts
Next up was the island that I WAS SO EXCITED FOR. I had a very clear vision, it was just a matter of making it come to life. I wanted a mini jungle on my island and that’s exactly what we did. I’ve seen party hats on small animals before & I loved the idea. Alia was the sweetest and created those, and my mom and sister created the adult versions. We found a template online to make the mini party hats which I’ll link below. This cake was Ari’s smash cake that my sister made for him hehe, she also created the little 1 banner with twigs she found outside! It’s become a tradition that Melanie create cakes for my kids- it started at my gender reveal that we had for Alethea
I had no idea what to do with the table settings, but then I realized my kids have so many stuffed animals, why not have them displayed??
This was his highchair area! This canopy is normally in the playroom but we brought it down and I added some green vines. BOOM: a perfect little jungle.
Since Ari’s birthday was the first summer birthday in our family- we had to do something outside!! We rented a bounce house and had a couple of giant sized games outside!
Happy Birthday Ariel
